Swiss
Kits™ - Orientation
courses for expatriates &newcomers to Switzerland
During
five half-day sessions we will look at the topics given below. There
will be time for your own questions along the way and an interactive
conclusive session to address individual matters.
Groups
are restricted to a maximum of eight participants - ensuring that
there is time for everyone to get involved and obtain maximum benefit
from the course.
In
addition to the five-session courses, tailor-made modules are available
on specialised topics and can be booked separately. Please contact
us with your requirements.
Uniquely,
these courses are not sponsored in any way and therefore offer completely
independent and objective recommendations to suit your specific,
individual needs.
Some
of the things we will look at are
The
Swiss and life in Switzerland – etiquette, do's and don'ts,
a little history, a little geography and even a bit of Swiss German!
Your
home and your family – your neighbours, insurance, renting
and rental contracts, health matters, recycling
Free-time
and leisure – what to do, where to go, how to get there,
driving, public transport
Making
friends and meeting people – local clubs, societies, interest
groups for all ages, keeping in touch
Shopping
– where to go for a taste of home, translations, local
equivalents
Language
schools – where, when, how much, High-German or Swiss-German?
